The service and beta
Chopsaw helps construction teams report work by voice or text, prepare timecards, classify work and resolve exceptions. It does not calculate wages, decide employment rights or replace the company's recordkeeping duties. The first pilot is arranged for US companies and participants. Beta features may be incomplete, delayed or incorrect; keep records needed for important business decisions.
These are Chopsaw service terms. Apple TestFlight terms apply separately. These terms do not replace Apple's standard application EULA or constitute a custom Apple EULA.
Accounts and work reports
Use an account and company access you are authorized to use. Protect sign-in links. Server-confirmed membership, role and scope determine access; an invitation or role name does not grant access to another company's records. Employee records may exist without personal accounts.
Submit reasonably accurate information and obtain the rights needed to share recordings and other people's information. Do not record unrelated private conversations or include unnecessary sensitive data. Chopsaw is for workplace teams, not directed to children under 13. Users aged 13–17 need parent or guardian authorization where applicable law requires it.
Voice and text use the same report pipeline. “Saved to Company” means verified receipt, not completed AI processing, approval or payroll readiness. A local save alone is not company receipt. Eligible voice reports have the withdrawal opportunity displayed in the app.
AI may misunderstand words, people, sites, dates and work details. Application/database rules validate proposals and reconcile duplicates. A real work report without a duration may receive a marked eight-hour assumption; no report does not create hours. Missing site information can produce provisional time and a clarification. Lunch, travel and pickup are notes, not automatic pay adjustments. Report known errors and answer relevant questions; managers handle exceptions. The company must check totals, assumptions and unresolved issues before using results for payroll or other significant decisions.
Corrections preserve history. Offline views show previously synchronized information. Exported copies are the recipient's responsibility.
Permission for your material
You and other rightful owners keep your rights. You permit Chopsaw to receive, store, transmit to service providers, transcribe, translate, classify and display submitted material only to provide, secure, support and recover the service, including authorized company access and exports. This does not authorize unrelated marketing, sale of recordings or AI training.
OpenAI processing requires the separate explicit permission described on the acceptance screen and in the Privacy Policy. Microphone permission or merely continuing to use the app is not that permission. Withdrawing AI permission stops new processing admissions; already authorized requests may finish. It does not erase company records. Permission to retain records lasts only as needed for lawful retention and service obligations.
Ending participation and responsibility
You can stop using the service. Sign-out, uninstalling or leaving TestFlight does not delete the server account. Contact support for account or personal-data deletion; in-app account deletion is not yet available. Personal account deletion, company membership removal and company closure are separate. Retained company records and legal duties may limit deletion; we explain applicable limits. Current retention behavior is described in the Privacy Policy; planned deadlines are not service guarantees.
Do not impersonate others, submit fraudulent records, disclose unauthorized information or bypass security. We may restrict access for misuse, security, legal requirements or loss of company authorization, with explanation where practicable. A restriction does not automatically erase evidence.
The app and third-party software remain the property of their rights holders. Beta availability, loss-free operation and perfect AI results are not guaranteed. Each party remains responsible for its actions and applicable obligations. Nothing here removes rights or liability that law does not permit to be excluded. Material updates will be identified and new processing permission requested where required.
